Managing Director

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Jonathan Malyon is Managing Director of We Are Tilt – a strategic creative agency that partners with some of the world's most complex organisations (think Deloitte, Diageo, KPMG, the BBC) to make change happen through transformative storytelling and experience design. We Are Tilt exists in a space most people don't even know is there – the overlap between agencies that understand story and consultancies that understand complexity. Jonathan leads a growing team of thinkers, storytellers and creative innovators who treat narrative with the same rigour as Pixar – and bring it to places you'd least expect. With over 15 years in digital and creative technology, he combines deep technical expertise with a belief that creativity is one of the most underused forces for change. His work spans campaigns for organisations including the UN and the BBC, alongside a growing focus on AI ethics and the responsible use of emerging technologies.

Sessions

After AI: The Human Advantage

As AI becomes embedded across every industry, efficiency and optimisation are quickly becoming the baseline. When everyone has access to the same tools, the real question becomes: where does human value sit next? In this session, Jon explores why creativity, imagination, and original thinking are not being replaced by AI, but are becoming more valuable because of it. As automation drives more homogenised outputs, ideas, and decisions, the ability to think differently becomes the true competitive advantage. Drawing on experience from the creative and digital industries, Jon reframes AI as a catalyst rather than a threat. He challenges outdated assumptions about productivity, skills, and value, and makes the case that the organisations and individuals who thrive next will be those who protect and invest in uniquely human capabilities. This is a forward-looking talk about future skills, creative leadership, and why the human advantage matters more after AI, not less.
